NOCTURNAL

I wrote this piece during the third lockdown, January 2021. With no possibility of working with ‘live’ musicians , most of my projects these last 18 months have been like musical ‘ documentaries’ made from sound effects and ’sampled’ instruments.
‘Nocturnal.’ invokes the twilight atmosphere of a city , with its cars and car parks , rain and wet roads, distant sirens and late night jazz - all haunted by a snatch of ‘late’ Beethoven .
