Launching next week. Das Leben (The Life) is a video clip for the new track from Leonore Boulanger and Jean Daniel Botta. The video is directed by Ewan Golder. The Snow, music by Marita Isobel Solberg film by the bio-artist and filmmaker Trond Ansten.
We are also showing some of the recordings from live performances as part of the Strangelove 2021 edition in collaboration with Creative Folkestone. There were two weekends of live performance at the Quarterhouse in Folkestone. The first was in September the second in December. There was also films shown on the large screen projections in December.
There is the stunning performance by Linda Hirst of the Kurt Schwitters Ursonate, along with films from the performance of Shadows, Mirror Mirror, There is no Place like Home by Tansy Davies, Vest & Page 1 9 Monologue, Admire Ncube, Black Techno and the project Out of Order.
Our 2021 programme covered an in depth look at the work of The American artist Jennifer Reeder and with four seasons of curated projects by Strangelove resident programmer Ewan Golder.
We have had a summer recess and are back now in business with an exciting programme of online and real life screenings, events and talks. With about 5k visits to the site this year we have developed a new audience beyond the shores of the UK.
There will be live talks, screenings and events in collaboration with Folkestone New Music and our partner organisation Contemporary Space. Looking at many aspects of time-based media.
