Mirror Mirror written, conceived and directed by Terry Smith with Ash McNaughton, Lise Boucon, Rubiane Maia, Sarah April Lamb and Randolph Matthews

Since September 2020, Terry Smith has been quietly conducting weekly workshops constructing a series of new performances. This evening’s world premiere is Mirror Mirror with music by John Cage, Two6 (1992).

Smith’s performance process is improvised and collaborative. Since lockdown, he has been creating performance scores, learning how to choreograph and direct movement with performers Ash McNaughton and Lise Boucon and joined occasionally by Paul Cheneour. Three new performers join Ash and Lise. They are Rubiane Maia, Sarah April Lamb and Randolph Matthews.
