Annie Kloppenberg is the Inaugural Director of the Lyons Arts Lab, professor at Colby College, and Affiliate Artist with the Portland Ballet. This is her second dance film. Her first film premiered at the Guggenheim NYC in 2023. Described as “a choreographer of nuances” by the Boston Globe, and “a fierce, yet coy force of energy–contained or unleashed” by ThINKing Dance, she is an active choreographer, performer, and scholar who has presented work nationally and internationally. Her creative and scholarly research are braided practices that hinge on collaboration and improvisation.
