Voyage of the Galactic Space Dangler

Strangelove have invited Pop Up Brighton to curated a screening of moving image that explores the festival’s theme of Duration.

Brighton Film Club curates a playlist of modern short films from around the world. This time focusing on the festival theme of Duration we will be screening a mixture of animation, documentaries, romantic, horror, comedy. BFC has been popping in different locations since 2014 each screening focusing of a different subject matter. The Screening will included:

Snooze Time By Ivan Barge
This is a beautiful depiction of the complexity of time and how it plays tricks on us all. This poem is narrated by someone looking back on their whole life, how the idea of the passing of time changes with your age. 'A week in a life of 3 year old looks pretty big compared to a week in life of a 50 year old.’ The cinematography, narration and sound design makes this a short film you can’t forget.

Voyage of the Galactic Space Dangler By Evan Mann
This is a surreal take of the duration of two different time lines colliding. This playful take with no dialog leaves the visuals to take you through this journey, director Evan Mann didn’t use any CGI and has cleverly created a 60’s sci-fi feel with beautiful cinematography.

Me & You; A Love Story By Jack Tew
This 7 minute British short is able to capture a whole relationship from start to finish, seamlessly showing the duration of time in a beautiful, sweet and sometime humorous way.
