Poets' Corner presents: 'Nobody dies like Humphrey Bogart'

Exploring fantastical realms in search of poetic truth Local poets Dave Horn, Faith Warn and Anthony White in a performance that links the sight, sound and stars of motion pictures to their own and others' poems inspired by the movies   Poets’ Corner is a trio of Folkestone writers and performers who started collaborating serendipitously in 2016. Dave Horn, Faith Warn and Anthony White aim to share, celebrate and encourage poetry as widely as possible in the local community.  At open air street poetry and indoor events, Poets’ Corner regularly perform their own work and invite others to share poems they have enjoyed or have written themselves. For three years they have staged Folkestone Book Festival Fringe poetry events. In 2018, with guest poet Melissa Jacob, they created a poetry performance to raise awareness of the work of the Rainbow Centre supporting homeless people and compiled a companion journal, ‘Let me take you by the hand’ for Steep Street Coffee House. In 2020 Poets’ Corner are hosting regular evenings at Eleto Chocolate Café and special events and projects for Open Quarter, Folkestone Artworks and the Triennial.
