This Video-Art week has been curated by Isaac Leung (Videotage) & Jamie Wyld (Videoclub). Documentaries are a key part of Strangelove festival. How we look at and examine the world is key to our understanding other people’s views ideas and concepts. What is a documentary? “A nonfictional motion picture intended to document some aspects of reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction or maintaining a historical record.” (Wikipedia). James Collie, Director of Folkestone Quarterhouse Doc Club and Violet Pictures, has selected - Randall Christopher, Daisy Jacobs and Don Hertzfeldt to feature in Programme 1. We have a special in focus on the work of David Bickerstaff, an award-winning filmmaker who founded Atomictv in 1997, for Programme 2.
