Born and raised in Bergamo, Italy, Laura Spini has a background as a journalist and translator, and works in the UK as a writer, director and editor. She has an inclination towards dark, absurd, or very gentle comedy. Her latest project, written and directed with filmmaking partner Laurence Brook, is A Disappearance, a short set in the world of psychic mediums starring Sophie Thompson.
